Besides the tech/software employed, one should also have a look at who runs them. I have, in the past encountered basic security problems with tormail. I don't know if it's fixed, but this can happen anywhere. Tormail is *NOT* a project from Tor.

Several people wrote me that Tormail is dead. Can't find an official announcement but it seems to be true.

Several people wrote me that Tormail is dead.
